A Message from Daniel L. Mosley,
Chairman of the Board

June 2110

Dear Friends,

Forty-year-old Jacqueline Carrasquillo counts her blessings every day, grateful she put her life in the skilled and compassionate hands of the oncologists at the Cancer Institute at Greenwich Hospital.

The future seemed bleak just a year ago when Carrasquillo learned that the lump she had ignored for months was breast cancer. But fear turned to hope once she met the surgeon, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist and others who restored her health. "They’re my angels," said the Bridgeport resident. Today, Carrasquillo is happy and healthy–and helping others facing cancer. "It’s my way of giving back for the wonderful care I received."

In our continuous quest for excellence, Greenwich Hospital has established a partnership with the Yale School of Medicine that allows patients access to a wide network of clinicians from the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven, in addition to the cancer expertise offered locally. As part of this partnership, Daniel Chamberlain, MD, will serve as clinical director of radiation oncology at Greenwich Hospital. Our Bendheim Cancer Center offers advanced medical oncology and radiation therapy, including the Novalis TX, one of the newest generations of linear accelerators to customize radiation treatment while sparing healthy tissue.

Your generous contribution to the Annual Fund enhances Greenwich Hospital’s ability to provide the finest services from sophisticated cancer treatments to advanced heart attack and stroke care to health promotion programs. Your tax-deductible gift enables Greenwich Hospital to build partnerships—such as the one with the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven—that bring together valuable resources and expertise to keep you and your family healthy.

Sincerely,

Daniel L. Mosley
Chairman, Board of Trustees
