Being Admitted

Drop-off and Registration  
Patients and visitors to Greenwich Hospital will find three buildings in our medical complex: The Helmsley Medical Building, the Watson Pavilion and the Cohen Pavilion. Most services are offered in the Helmsley and Watson buildings. Others are provided in the Cohen Pavilion across the street at 77 Lafayette Place. Separate from the new and old hospitals, the Cohen Pavilion has its own convenient underground parking for patients. Here you will find the Bendheim Cancer Center and the Breast Center.

Patient Drop-Off
Drivers may drop off patients at the hospital's covered main entrance and then proceed directly down the ramp to our underground parking lot. For those who may have an appointment in the Watson Building, bear to the left upon entering the underground parking. There is direct access to floors one, two and three from the elevators for your convenience.

Where and How to Register For a Procedure at GH
Your physician will arrange a date and time for your surgery or procedure. At the appointed time, you may go directly to the registration desk designated for your particular procedure. • 1st floor, Admitting Office
  Maternity patients will pre-register in the Admitting Office, just off the Atrium Lobby. Additionally, patients for the Addiction Recovery Center or the Sleep Laboratory must first stop at the Admitting Office.
• 1st floor, Lab Registration
  The Lab registration area is adjacent to the Admitting Office.
• 1st floor, Diagnostic Imaging Reception
  If you're coming in for an X-ray, MRI, CT Scan or Cardio/Neuro/Pulmonary testing, just turn right after you enter the building and you'll be on the Diagnostic Center corridor. Check in at the Diagnostic Testing desk and take a seat in our lounge to be called for your appointment.
• 1st floor, Emergency Center Admitting Desk
  Our Emergency Center, accessed from the entry on the South side of our new building, is located at the rear of the First Floor. Outdoor emergency parking is available close to the Emergency Entrance.
• 2nd floor, Helmsley, Surgery Admitting Desk
  Take the public elevator off the Atrium Lobby to the second floor registration desk (immediately to your left off the elevator).
• 2nd Floor, Watson, Outpatient Center (Medical/Dental/Psych)
  Patients receiving services through the Outpatient Center are registered by staff working in that area exclusively.
