What to Bring
It is also important that you remember to bring your insurance card and, where necessary, your managed care written referral and/or prior authorization. Along with your insurance documents, bring papers that your doctor may have given you, and any results from pre-operation tests.

If you're coming for ambulatory (same-day) surgery, a medical procedure, or for a longer stay, it is advisable to

  • Wear loose fitting clothes.
  • Bring your eye-glasses, hearing aid, or other assistive device if it will contribute to your feeling of well-being. Please remove your contact lenses.
  • Bring toiletries if you will be staying overnight.
  • Take a pre-operative pediatric tour with your child if he or she is scheduled for surgery.
We will provide slippers and a robe for your convenience. If your child is the patient, bring a favorite doll or toy.
