The Richard R. Pivirotto Center for Healthy Living at 55 Holly Hill Lane focuses on rehabilitation, prevention and wellness for cardiovascular, pulmonary and rehabilitation patients. Healthy Living Singing Group

Love to sing? The Center for Healthy Living has a singing group that meets every Tuesday to practice and learn new songs. The “Holly Hill Tones” sing throughout the community and are available for performances. For more information call 203-863-3756. FREE.

Medical Fitness Program
This individualized exercise and nutrition program is for people with Type 1 or 2 diabetes, obesity, multiple sclerosis, cancer, osteoporosis, stroke, physical impairments or Parkinson’s disease. It is also for those who have had bariatric surgery.

For each participant , an exercise physiologist and dietitian create a customized fitness plan to maximize cardiovascular health and physical strength. This program is not covered by insurance. 'Medical Fitness Program' physician referral form is required. Monday through Friday, day and evening classes. Call 203-863-3756 for more information and reservations. Fee.

Adult Fitness Program
Exercising on your own, but wonder if you're making any progress? Meet one-on-one with a Healthy Living Center professional for body fat testing or a full fitness profile with a one-hour nutrition consultation. Call 203-863-3756. Fee.

Cardiac Rehabilitation
For individuals diagnosed with coronary artery disease. Focuses on exercise, diet modification and stress management. Day and evening classes available Monday-Friday at 55 Holly Hill Lane. Call 203-863-3756 or ask your physician for a referral. Physician referral form required. Fee. (May be eligible for third party reimbursement.) Pulmonary Rehabilitation
For individuals diagnosed with coronary pulmonary disease. Focuses on exercise, diet modification and stress management. Day classes available Monday-Friday at 55 Holly Hill Lane. Healthy Cooking Classes
Demonstration-style sessions with food tastings help you learn techniques for preparing meals that are delicious, nutritious and easy to make. All classes meet on Tuesdays, 6-8pm:

Cholesterol Measurement and Pre-Diabetic Metabolic Screening
People with metabolic syndrome, also known as the pre-diabetic state, are at higher risk for developing certain conditions that affect plaque in their blood vessels. This simple screening includes a finger-stick blood draw and measures cholesterol (LDL and HDL), triglycerides and fasting blood sugar. We also measure blood pressure and waist circumference. Immediate test results provided. Open to groups. This screening program is affiliated with the Yale New Haven Health Heart Institute. Call 203-863-3756. Fee: $50.

Falls Prevention/Balance Program
A 12-week class to improve balance and prevent falls through balance exercises. Half-hour sessions meet Thursdays at 11am (advanced) and 2:30pm (beginners). A half-hour beginners class is also offered on Tuesdays at 1pm. Call 203-863-3756. Free to Healthy Living Center members. Non-members, $175.

Speakers Bureau
Greenwich Hospital health experts are available to speak to corporate or private groups about a variety of topics such as Heart Attack Prevention and Alert, Women and Heart Disease, Stress Management, Dining Out the Healthy Way, Shopping Tips and Nutrition Labels, and more.   • Payment must be made by check or credit card at least one business day prior to the date a class begins. Instructors cannot transact payments or registrations.
  • Only prepaid and pre-registered students may attend class. This applies to both new and continuing students.
  • Please consult your physician prior to registration if you have concerns about participating in a program.
