Greenwich Hospital continues to add surgical services and state-of-the-art technology to improve outcomes.
  • Greenwich Hospital’s Center for Joint Replacement has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of ApprovalTM  for excellence in total hip and knee replacement surgery. This certification means that the Center complies with the highest national performance standards for quality of care and safety for hip and knee replacement surgery.

  • Greenwich Hospital received the Connecticut Hospital Association's 2012 John D. Thompson Award for Excellence in the Delivery of Healthcare Through the Use of Data. The award was given to a team recognized for "A Novel, Comprehensive, Multimodal Analgesic Regiment for Joint Replacement Surgery". Total knee and hip replacement surgeries have become two of the most common surgical procedures performed in the United States; treatment of pain following these surgeries affects a patient's comfort and compliance with physical therapy required for complete healing. This new multimodal approach has shown to reduce both pain and side effects of medication following joint replacement surgery. See the video>>
