Prescription pain medication abuse and heroin use are a growing epidemic in this country. Over the last several years, more people have died from drug overdoses than in motor vehicles accidents. Previously, treatment for opiate addiction mostly took place in highly stigmatizing methadone clinics.
The ARC offers a state-of-the-art treatment program for individuals struggling with opiate use. This eight-week program is group-based with a carefully chosen curriculum tailored to the unique elements of opiate addiction.
The program combines medication management using buprenorphine-naloxone (aka Suboxone) with comprehensive skill-based, supportive, educational, and family groups. This highly integrated approach offers the patient the opportunity to achieve biological, psychological, and social stabilization, lowering the chances of relapse.
