New Physical Medicine Site Offers Added Convenience

Greenwich Hospital has just opened a physical medicine satellite facility near the Greenwich border in Stamford. Sunny new treatment areas and an expanded staff are now available to accommodate the growing demand for physical therapy, occupational therapy and physiatry services.

Patient visits at the hospital’s physical medicine department on Perryridge Road have doubled since 2000, says Marc Kosak, administrative director.

“We looked at where our patients are coming from, and saw a high concentration around Cos Cob, Old Greenwich and Stamford,” he noted. “It made sense to place our new facility toward that end of town for patient convenience – particularly as people usually come several times a week for an extended period of time.”

The new physical medicine site is at 2015 W. Main St. in Stamford, the same building that houses Greenwich Hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Center. Just like the hospital facility, it is staffed by physicians board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as experienced, licensed clinicians.
