Pregnant, or Hoping To Be?
Get Primed for a Healthy Pregnancy and Birth

Preparing for the best possible pregnancy starts early. For some women, it begins when they are planning – or trying – to get pregnant. For others, it’s when they discover they are pregnant and want to know what to expect.

Wherever you are in the pregnancy timeline, there’s a lot to learn. Greenwich Hospital makes it easy with its annual “Pregnancy Primer Fair.” This educational event offers valuable information from hospital experts in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

Doctors and nurses from a variety of departments will be on hand to answer your questions about a wide range of topics – from nutrition, anesthesia and perinatal services, to maternity, labor and delivery, and pediatrics. Specialists from the Center for Integrative Medicine and the Greenwich IVF Center will also be on hand.

“It’s a great way to get grounded and build your confidence along with your knowledge,” says Claire Carter, RN, coordinator of the event. Tours of the hospital’s Birthing Center will be available, along with goody bags with informational handouts. Enjoy refreshments, too, as well as prize drawings for great mother/baby gift baskets.

Women in their childbearing years, along with their spouses or partners, are welcome to attend the fair and get a personal introduction to the many programs and services Greenwich Hospital offers.
