Greenwich Hospital CEO and President Frank A. Corvino recognized by the American College of Healthcare Executives

June 30, 2014 (Greenwich, CT) – The Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) recently presented Frank A. Corvino, president and CEO of Greenwich Hospital, with the Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Award. The award was presented during the ACHE Annual Meeting at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, CT.

This honor is awarded annually to one senior level hospital executive who has demonstrated innovation and creativity not only in developing their organization and team, but also in supporting others in the healthcare profession. In addition, the recipient must have a proven track record in providing leadership in state, local and community activities as well as with other hospital associations.

Bill Jennings, president and CEO of Bridgeport Hospital and the Connecticut ACHE Regent, presented the award to Corvino. “I have the honor today of presenting this award to not only a colleague, but a friend,” said Jennings. “Frank is a pioneer in the healthcare industry. When I think of Frank, I think of the patient experience and service excellence.”

At nearly 26 years, Corvino is the longest-standing hospital CEO in the state. “This is a great honor for me,” said Corvino to the hospital executives in attendance. “In addition to creating a culture where we put the patient first, I am most proud of the culture of safety we are creating at Greenwich Hospital and throughout the state of Connecticut.” Corvino will be retiring at the end of this year.
