About Women's Services

Women's Health Clinic / Outpatient Center
The Women's Health Clinic is a service of the Greenwich Hospital Outpatient Center and helps women aged 40 and older learn how to get healthy and stay healthy. Our team of health care providers includes physicians, nurses, social workers, dietitians and psychiatrists and more.

To obtain a complete picture of their health status, women first receive a physical exam as well as blood tests, a mammogram and clinical breast exam, pap smear, and a medical history. Women also have the chance to learn about how to deal with hot flashes and other concerns during menopause, how to stop smoking, how to reduce their chance of heart disease and information about domestic abuse. If a health problem is identified, women receive the necessary medications and/or treatments, and are scheduled for a follow-up appointment.

Health Resources
Women can learn how to perform breast self-exams, learn how to eat healthier, and can take home written materials on a variety of topics. They are invited to participate in group sessions led by social workers, dietitians, and other professionals on a variety of health topics. In addition, women who meet specific health guidelines are eligible to participate in monitored exercise programs at the Healthy Living Center across the street from Greenwich Hospital.

If you are a Greenwich resident, you may be eligible to receive these services at reduced costs. Call (203) 863-3409 to set up a financial appointment. You must provide financial documentation and proof of residency in Greenwich. If you are on Medicaid, call (203) 863-3409 to check your eligibility status.
