Fitness for Duty Assessments
For certain jobs that require physical strength or repetitive motion, preventing injury is critical.

Job-specific evaluations are performed at our Return to Work Center, which has multiple stations designed to simulate real jobs. This enables medical clearance for an individual to either continue in their current position due to a change in their health, or to determine the ability of an individual to return to their position following a medical leave.

Fitness for Duty Assessments can also be offered as a component of a pre-placement (pre-employment) exam.

A more thorough Functional Capacity Evaluation is also available. This is an extensive set of tests to assess many factors affecting a person's ability to perform activities of daily living and work. The tests include evaluation of strength, flexibility, endurance and body mechanics.

Work Hardening may follow a Fitness for Duty Evaluation for employees returning to work after a medical absence.
