Drug & Alcohol Testing
About three-fourths of all the illicit drugs users in this country are employed. Because of this, drug testing has become an important aspect of health and safety on the job.

Occupational Health Services can help you develop a company-wide drug testing policy, taking into consideration the cost benefits as well as the culture of your company. Programs are as individualized as the companies that create them. However, certain basic elements are necessary to assure a program that is fair, accurate and legally defensible. We can also help with documentation with your company's policy, and consult on compliance with Drug-Free Workplace programs.

Toxicology Screening provides quality drug testing to determine the presence of common drugs of abuse. Testing may be provided randomly, periodically, for pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, or return to work.

Our medical director is a Certified Medical Review Officer, allowing us to verify all drug-positive test results.

Substance Abuse Professionals (SAP) assure appropriate treatment and monitoring for an employee who is struggling with an addiction at any stage of abuse, at any level of employment, with the utmost discretion. As a partner in the Yale New Haven Health System we have the resources to provide the best treatment for your valued employee.

Department of Transportation (DOT) stringent testing requirements can be fulfilled. We also provide pre-placement DOT physical exams. Post-accident screenings are provided by certified breath alcohol technicians.
