Injury Care and Prevention
Injury Care
Acute care at Occupational Health Services is fast and convenient. We are equipped to diagnose and treat all types of non-life-threatening work-related injuries and illness. X-rays and other diagnostic tests are done on premises. Common problems include:
- broken bones
- back problems
- lacerations requiring stitches
- sprains and strains
- tendonitis
- repetitive motion trauma
Follow-up care through our Integrated Physical Therapy program simulates real-job experiences. This helps to assure that employees get back to their jobs as quickly as possible while learning risk factors and preventive measures to avoid re-injury.
Injury Prevention
Our pre-employment physical exams help identify risks for potential injury. Fitness for duty assessments evaluate an employee's physical capacity to perform specific duties required for a particular job. WorkRight, a workplace preventive program, teaches employees about repetitive motion or traumatic injury risks linked to particular job duties, and ways to reduce these risks.
Our Return to Work Center is uniquely designed to simulate real-job experiences to help injured employees learn to avoid re-injury.
Workers' Compensation and Disability Case Management
Our Workers' Comp services help heal injuries and monitor an injured employee's condition. We provide:
- Prompt treatment and communication of medical status
- Ongoing monitoring of treatment and documentation of progress
- Appropriate follow-up care
- Case coordination/Utilization review
Our approach helps to minimize lost work time and avoid re-injury.
