Greenwich Hospital has an adult intensive care unit which provides specialized care, treatment and monitoring of critically ill patients, plus an intermediate care unit for patients who no longer require intensive care, but still need special monitoring. The hospital also has a neonatal intensive care unit for its smallest patients.
Medical & Surgical Intensive Care Unit A full-time, board-certified intensivist serves as the unit's medical director. Additional staff consists of registered nurses and nursing assistants highly trained in medical and surgical critical care. The staff includes specially trained registered nurses, cardiac monitor technicians and nursing assistants.
