The Breast Center at Greenwich Hospital

The Breast Center at Greenwich Hospital combines the newest technology and a team of top breast specialists into one comprehensive center. Under the medical direction of Barbara Ward, MD, the Breast Center provides women with easy access to the complete spectrum of clinical and support services, from screenings and diagnosis, to treatment, counseling and for breast cancer patients. The interdisciplinary team of surgeons and experts includes a specially trained oncology nurse who helps patients coordinate all aspects of care, including surgery and, if necessary, radiation and medical therapy. The center is located in the Cohen Pavilion at 77 Lafayette Place.

The attractive, state-of-the-art Breast Center includes:

  • private examination rooms
  • four mammography units
  • a modern ultrasound unit

Board-certified surgeons have offices on the same floor. Patients who require surgery can have the procedure done right across the street at Greenwich Hospital.

The Bendheim Cancer Center, also located at the Cohen Pavilion, offers a comprehensive range of outpatient diagnostic and treatment services, including radiation therapy, medical therapies and laboratory services. Women newly diagnosed with breast cancer at the Breast Center can easily and immediately begin accessing the resources and experts at the Bendheim Cancer Center. Patients who qualify have access to a variety of clinical trials.
