Pediatric Services at Greenwich Hospital
Greenwich Hospital's Pediatric Services is comprised of both pediatricians and specialists dedicated to the health and wellness of children.

Spotlight on Pediatric Services
Pediatric Services provides comprehensive health care to meet the needs of children in our community. Greenwich Hospital offers a broad range of clinical programs and educational and support services in a family-friendly environment designed to meet the unique needs of children.

Patients receive inpatient and outpatient care from board-certified physicians trained in the area of pediatrics, in addition to nurses and other support staff experienced in the special needs of children. The hospital has many pediatric specialists on its consulting staff who have expertise in neonatology, cardiology, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, neurology, surgery and more. Patients also have access to the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital Specialty Center at Greenwich Hospital, which includes specialists in pediatric gastroenterology, genetics, diabetes, endocrinology and pulmonary medicine. A pediatric gastrointestinal physician is available three days a week.

Pediatric Services in the New Watson Pavilion
The new Watson Pavilion, scheduled to open in October 2005, will house all pediatric inpatient and outpatient services. This will make it easier for children and their families to access care. The new facility will have a 10-bed pediatric inpatient unit and a new children's center led by Dr. Toni Salvatore, medical director of pediatrics, and Susan Brown, MS, RNC, program director of Women's and Children's Services. The staff will include pediatric nurse practitioners and nurses with special training in pediatrics. The inpatient unit features the latest in electronic patient monitoring from the nurses station and sofa beds in each room for parents who wish to stay with their child. The Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital Specialty Center at Greenwich Hospital will be located next to the pediatric inpatient unit.
