Complementary Services for Inpatients
Patients in the hospital may request special services to alleviate pain and reduce stress. These complementary services offer care for the mind, body and spirit.
Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster
This is a 75-minute consultation with a certified registered nurse to help you learn mind/body techniques to enable you to relax before surgery and visualize recovery. You will also receive the book, Prepare For Surgery, Heal Faster, and a guided visualization CD. Research shows that this method of preparing for surgery helps people significantly reduce anxiety, use 23-50% less pain medication and heal faster. To schedule an appointment, call 203-863-3222. Fee.
