Thursday, March 06, 2014 - Greenwich YMCA honors Frank Corvino

The YMCA of Greenwich honored Frank Corvino, president/CEO Greenwich Hospital, “for advancing healthy living efforts in the Greenwich community” at its Set Sail… Destination Havana 1940 event on Saturday, Mar. 1, at the Delamar Hotel in Greenwich.

Accepting the award in front of nearly 300 guests, Corvino spoke of the mission, vision and value Greenwich Hospital and the YMCA have in common. “Both of our institutions have grown to be the top in our fields because of a shared commitment to healthy living and education. Now more than ever we are focused on health throughout the lifespan – because we know that we can reduce healthcare costs by not incurring them.”

Speaking about Corvino’s leadership at Greenwich Hospital, Jim Cabrera, Chairman of the Board, YMCA of Greenwich, said, “No one embodies the YMCA philosophy of excellence in healthy living better than Frank Corvino. He has worked tirelessly throughout our community to provide the very best healthcare possible and to ensure that residents have access to preventative services and programs.”
